Liz Santoro and Pierre Godard presented the performance Maps in May 2019, programmed by the Scène Nationale d’Orléans. Now in residency at the CCNO, in collaboration with Jacky Elder they will host a discussion about their work and the creative process behind Mutual Information, sharing early videos of the work in progress punctuated by exchange with the artists.

Mutual Information

Mutual Information serves as a mirror, embracing the concept of seeing oneself through the other. Intimacy becomes the hidden engine of the piece, as much for the two dancers as for viewers. The aim is to find the point of contact between our differences – differences in our bodies, in our localization in space, and in our stories. In Mutual Information, the space of emancipation for the viewer is to transform the performative distance produced by all scenic experiences into intimate experience.
