Simon Feltz’s workshop is based on his own solo from William Forsythe’s piece Limb’s Theorem. This hour and a half long choreographic piece, composed in three acts, challenges the performers to adapt to an ever-changing space, haunting music, and fluctuations in lighting. A summary of the choreographer’s intentions: “In Limb’s Theorem, William Forsythe explores the total abandonment of the body to space. As if under the influence of Thom Willems’ music – the metronomic beating of the seconds and electronic sounds of sometimes unbearable intensity – the dancers attempt to struggle and assert themselves within an enormous menacing environment.”
