Put on a costume or an accessory, and join in the dance, beginning with what it tells us, from the imagination it opens up. Children may transform into an animal, a princess, a superhero… and parents? These workshops invite you to playfully create your own dance, then mingle it with the dance of others, moving around and discovering often surprising characters in motion.
Everyone will be asked to bring a costume or an accessory (this can be a disguise, but also a simple object: hat, bag, jacket ….)

Balkis Moutashar

first studied philosophy, while working on her 1998 master’s thesis, “Movement and Dance”, with Michel Guérin. She then trained in contemporary dance at the Centre Chorégraphique de Montpellier (Exerce program, 2001). Practicing improvisation and acquainted with performance art, she nevertheless loves to visit disparate universes, working as much in music hall with feathers and spangles as with choreographers such as Didier Théron (Actes sans paroles, 2001), Pierre Droulers (Appartement, 2004), Claudia Triozzzi (Nightshade, 2007), theater companies such as the Compagnie de la Commune in Saint-Etienne (Géographie(s) Variable(s), 2012) or musicians, notably the DJ and composer Jeff Mills at the Louvre Museum in Paris (From life to death and back, 2015/2017). Between 2002 and 2009, she pursued personal projects exploring territories situated between dance and the visual arts, before deciding to create her own company, driven by a love of contemporary movement and the desire to contribute to its composition, exploring the complexity of the world through her diverse perspectives. In parallel to her own work, she collaborated on the choreography for the creation of Sosie(s), by the director Julie Kretzschmar, and continues performing for the musician Jeff Mills and the choreographer DD Dorvillier, as well as participating in Jérôme Bel’s Gala for the Festival of Marseille.
