A Week with the CnSMDP

The Paris Conservatory of Music and Dance (CNSMDP) trains very high-level choreographic artists destined to join major companies of national and international rank. In 2023, it rises to 2nd place in the list of the best higher education establishments in the performing arts in the world! Second generation of Master 2 students to learn the play Twenty-seven perspectives by Maud Le Pladec, the CNSMDP students are present in Orléans for a week to meet you. Workshops, presentations of study work (Master 3) and shows in the CNSMDP repertoire are on the program. The excellence of this national superior school to discover more closely in several meetings!

Monday After work by two dancers from the CNSMDP

Monday November 6, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.

During this workshop, we will explore two choreographic pieces which will be presented at the Scène nationale d'Orléans. Apprehend the fluid and bouncy dance of Set and Reset / Reset by Trisha Brown and the composition of Twenty-seven perspectives by Maud Le Pladec. The performers will share their body practice: what exercises, what preparations, for what dances, what imaginations to summon? The sessions will begin with a warm-up and a warm-up. They will continue by learning choreographic motifs which will later be put into play according to improvisation principles.

Public opening presentation of CNSMDP master’s degree diplomas: dancer and performer – repertoire and creation

Graduate students from the Conservatory present their final work which concludes their Master's degree. Each project can take all different forms involving the body: stage, exhibitions, films, videos... These personal projects allow each student to experience the design, writing and direction of a project. Presented in public in June 2023, these free works show the singularities of each person and the incredible diversity of the imaginations of a generation and an era.
